Greetings!
nykaN and rov are hosting a KZT tournament called Captains’ Clash!
It is going to happen on Saturday the 29th of April 2023 - 18:00 (6PM) CEST and is expected to last around five to six hours.
There will be 24 slots and the tournament is open for anyone.
Once 24 players are qualified - the tournament is going to be played in a double elimination bracket format.
It will be streamed on twitch.tv/nykan.
The deadline for both signing up and qualifying is Friday the 14th of April 18:00 CEST.

It goes without saying that cheating is not allowed and globally banned players may not join.
General
In this tournament you are playing together in a team of three. Once there are 24 qualified players and the deadline is hit, the designated captains will pick their team and embark on a journey to glory!
The teams will be announced sometime during 16th of April 2023.
The server will be located in EU (Amsterdam).

The captains will NOT play in the tournament, only lead. They will also be joining the casting booth while their teams are playing as well as handling the picks and bans.
Format
Captains’ Clash is a twenty-four person, eight team tournament. These said teams will be hand picked by their Captains and will consist of three highly skilled professional KZ players each. Each map being played in a best-of series will be free-for-all style where all six players will run at the same time. Upon finishing each player will be awarded a set amount of points based on the position they finished. For example, 1st place on a map is given 6 points, 2nd is given 5 points, 3rd is 4 points etc. The team that finishes with the most total points will be awarded the map win.
Bracket
This tournament is a double-elimination style bracket. Eight teams, consisting of 3 people each, will start in Winners Bracket playing each other in best-of-threes up until Winners Semifinals where best-of-fives start. The Losers Bracket will also be BO3s until Losers Round 4, where again BO5s start. Grand Finals will be a best-of-seven, with the team coming from Winners bracket gaining a map advantage and their choice of one (1) map ban.
Prize Pool
Winner of the tournament splits the prize pool between the coach and the three players. The prize pool is TBD and if you want to increase the pool, go to paypal.me/captainsclash.
Qualifying
First off, to play you have to join the tournaments discord server, tournament-discord.nykan.tv.
This is because further contact and information will happen through there.
Second, make sure you are available Saturday April 29th 2023!
The qualifying will be done based on the amount of PRO world records on KZT. If there is a tie it is based on the players amount of PRO points on the 7 maps in the map pool.
You gain points by finishing PRO runs on the mode KZT on the selected maps. The better the time, the higher the points.
