If you're not a server owner, this does not apply to you.
The following is cross-posted from our Discord:
On September 30, around 14PM GMT, the LetsEncrypt DST Root CA X3 root certificate expired.
This has caused lots of servers not being able to communicate with the GlobalAPI, thus causing them to not "be global".
For now, if you have a root server (you have sudo privileges to the machine), you can fix this manually by doing the following:
/etc/ca-certificates.conf as root
- Remove the following line from the file:
update-ca-certificates with sudo privileges
- Restart your csgo server(s)
Optionally, use the following to verify:
echo -n | openssl s_client -connect kztimerglobal.com:443 -servername kztimerglobal.com
Unfortunately, if you're using a game server provider such as DatHost or NFOServers, you cannot apply this fix and will have to wait.
